‘Wild Wednesday’ Write In

  • Wednesdays — ONGOING

    2:00 PM

  • Jittery Joe’s

1880 Epps Bridge Pkwy Suite #101, Athens, GA

  • Come for a midday writing session. Bring your laptop, notebook, etc, get yourself a large coffee, and get some great writing done. Be inspired by the quiet camaraderie of other dedicated writers working nearby. See you there!
NOTE: Since I also work retail, I can’t guarantee I’ll be at these meetings during the fall / holidays but I’ll come when I can. We have a pretty steady group of Wednesday writers, so if I’m not there look for a table full of laptops and studious expressions (!).

      • Read-In With us in December

      • Thursday, December 21st starting at 6:30 pm in Barnes and Noble Cafe —

Let’s get together and share our writing with each other before Christmas! If you are in town for the holidays and want to read your poem(s), story, chapter, essay, blog post, fiction, non-fiction, as a break from the holiday craze, come on over to Barnes and Noble for a relaxing, informal gathering with your writing peers. We always have a great time hearing each other’s work and giving feedback. As it’s the holiday season, I expect it will be a very small group so the meeting will probably not last the usual two hours. If you have any questions feel free to email us but the main thing to know is that each person gets 20 minutes to read and hear from the group so keep the length of your piece in mind when planning what to read. If you do not wish to read but would like to listen and visit with us, you are absolutely welcome! There is no requirement to read, only to actively listen and participate as an audience member. Please RSVP in advance if you can, but if you’re not sure of your plans this month, no problem, just come out and join us last minute. This Read-In is being planned a little late due to a last minute change in holiday travel plans and I’m happy that I can fit in one more in 2017. Happy writing everyone and Happy New Year!

        Class — 2018: Goal-Setting and Amazing Success

        • Saturday, January 6, 2018

        • Athens-Clarke County Library

          2025 Baxter Street, Athens, GA

        • Join us in the new year for an explosion of excitement and list-making (!). Come with your “Big Dream” and learn how to figure out the steps you need to take, and how to break your objective down into monthly, weekly, and daily goals. Discover how to stay on track, create the life of your dreams, turn obstacles into advantages, and knock the new year out of the park!

Learn from someone who has spent her entire adult life setting goals and refining techniques for success. It’s not magic; it only takes a good attitude, a well-thought-out plan, and a willingness to WORK HARD. Ralph Waldo Emerson said ‘Do the thing and you will have the power.’ Katherine Cerulean has written three screenplays, six novels, a self improvement book, dropped three sizes, traveled to Europe alone, started a association, edited two collections, set up public events for her group, and gotten rid of 90% of everything she owns. And she wants to help you do all that and more. Come pick her brain and learn how your past failures have only helped teach you how to be ready for success in 2018!

This event will take place in Multipurpose Room C.

          This class is FREE!

BONUS: Sign up at the end of the class to email Katherine once a month for the next six months to ask questions and work through new challenges. A FREE life coach in email form!
