Join us for Writers Read III!

Neither should writing.  

Instead come share in the passion, the joy, and our members’ enthusiasm for the written word!  Writers Read III will take place on May 10th, 7:00pm-9:00pm, at The Coffee Shop of Athens at 2950 Atlanta Hwy, Athens, GA 30606.

Readers will include Jennifer Innes, Tanya Moulton, Zhanna P. Rader, Elsa Russo, Lisa Smartt, Rob White, and more!

This event is free and appropriate for mature children and older.  So if you’re looking for a great event to share with your Mom this Mother’s Day Weekend, or if you just love good writing — come join us!

Writers will be available to talk after the event.  Also, let us know if you would be interested in reading at a future event.

  1. I know it says “mature children and older”, but will my toddler be welcome? I don’t mind leaving if she gets unruly. I’m wondering if the “mature” is a reference to content that might not be suitable for younger children, which she is too young to understand.

    • I’m sure your toddler would be fine, though she might get bored. I had been going to read a pg-13 type piece about zombies but I think we have enough other pieces and most aren’t as scary. One does involve a runaway tongue and that one has a bit of blood in it. I mainly was thinking of children who were old enough to get zombie nightmares — your child would probably be fine and welcome!

      • Thank you! I hope that we will stop by. Being ickle and wee she goes to bed pretty early, but we can swing by for a little while. She loves it when I read to her but as I mentioned, if she becomes a frenzied little wild thing I’ll take her home.
